Hello have you got any diagrams of an ideal tank setup for breeding? As in the layout of the inside of the tank. I,ve just got back into keeping cichlids and used to keep them many years ago. I had jack dempseys breed before plus other species but it just happened in my tanks. Now that im trying to get them to breed i can't seem to make it happen lol. I,ve got a pair in a separate tank and have plantpots and made caves with rocks etc.

Does the female carry eggs inside her all the time or does it take a couple of weeks? I've put a mirror on the side of the tank to try and make the male aggressive but i havent seen him do anything yet.
